Alexandra is a Licensed Psychoanalyst in private practice in New York City, with offices in Manhattan and Brooklyn. She has more than 20 years of clinical experience working with a wide array of populations. After completing a 3 year training program in Parent-Infant Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and having taken courses with some of the most important clinicians in the field of Infant Research as well as having completed training in Video Interaction at the Tavistock Clinic in London, UK, she developed a practice to help parents and their babies create meaningful connections, improve bonding to promote healthy attachment and assist parents struggling with issues particular to pregnancy, the perinatal and postpartum period.

Alexandra is passionate about her work and has presented in numerous settings, on the theme of pregnancy, parent-infant interaction and postpartum depression. She is the author of: "Difficulties in the Treatment of Depression During Pregnancy and Postpartum Depression" published by the Journal of Infant, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy | JICAP, in March 2014. She is currently working on a paper on postpartum depression and video interaction.

Her commitment to learning and knowledge has led her to teaching and supervising and she is currently a faculty member and supervisor at the Metropolitan Institute for Training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and Harlem Family Institute, where she teaches courses on early development and psychoanalytic technique.
